NEW YORK, Aug 27 (Reuters) Fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko stormed into the second round of the US Open today with a 6-4 6-0 6-1 drubbing of American wildcard Jesse Levine.
The Russian, who reached the semi-finals last year, raced to victory in one hour 40 minutes and will next play German Nicolas Kiefer or American Vince Spadea.
After a tight first set, Levine became more erratic and Davydenko took advantage to cruise through the second in just 20 minutes.
The Russian maintained his momentum in the third set to clinch an impressive victory.
