Blasts due to failure of intelligence agencies: Poojary

Mangalore, Aug 26 (UNI) The senior Congress leader and former Union Minister B Janardhan Poojary today attributed failure of both state and Central intelligence agencies for the reason behind yesterday's bomb blasts in Hyderabad.

Addressing newspersons, on the sidelines of a function organised to distribute scholarships to the economically poor students of Billava community here, he urged the intelligence wings of both the state and the Centre to be more responsible in containing terrorism.

Referring to the present volatile political situation in the state, Mr Poojary alleged that the JD(S)-BJP coalition government in the state was now in a dying stage.

''The JD(S) supremo H D Devegowda is now the doctor, he will go for a major operation and if the operation is successful, the government will survive otherwise the condition will become further serious,'' he commented.

Mr Poojary said there was no threat to the UPA government due to the tough stand taken by the Left parties on the Indo-US nuclear deal. We would convince the Left parties and come out with a proper solution to his crisis soon, he added.
