Aditya Birla Minacs Philippines unit inaugurated

Manila, Aug 15: Her Excellency, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo today inaugurated the Aditya Birla Minacs facility in Manila, Philippines. Aditya Birla Minacs is a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Nuvo.

This center will expand the Company's global footprint of offerings and add to the existing 30 delivery centers globally. The Philippines facility currently has about 200 employees providing inbound customer services to global clients.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sharad Junghare, COO, Asia, of Aditya Birla Minacs said, "With strong infrastructure, top talent and tremendous government support, we see Philippines opening up a huge opportunity for us. We are delighted to be in Philippines and we value the support and encouragement we have received throughout the site selection and development process for this center and the other Aditya Birla Group businesses that have been operating here."

He added, "We are extremely grateful to the Government of the Philippines for the support extended to us. We see tremendous opportunities in providing our customers with world-class services and will be looking to grow our business rapidly. We have featured the Philippines option in several major client proposals in the last several months."

H. E. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo inaugurated the new center by unveiling the plaque and lighting the lamp (which signifies the opening of the center). After the inauguration, H.E. also interacted with the employees in the operations area and appreciated the work being done at the center.
