Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, July 25 (UNI) The Headmaster and assistant headmaster of a Government Girl's Higher Secondary School here were today transferred, in the wake of complaints that the duo had allegedly molested the school students.

The action came in the wake of the Education Department officials from Chennai grilling the duo, other teachers and students of the school yesterday and submitting a report to the Department.

While headmaster Sivamunusamy was transferred to Bharatharami Boy's Higher Secondary School in Vellore district, the assistant headmaster Jikki was posted at Sholingar Government Higher Secondary School.

It may be recalled that the father of a XII standard student had filed a complaint with the District Collector that Sivamunusamy, in collusion with Jikki, had harassed and misbehaved with many girl students. On July 17, Sivamunusamy had attempted to molest his daughter, he had added in the complaint.

The Collector had forwarded the complaint to the Education Department.

However, Sivamunusamy claimed that the allegation was baseless.
