Abducted Satyam Executive rescued in AP

Hyderabad, July 25: A principal consultant of Satyam computers Vedula Satyanarayana, who was kidnapped here yesterday, was rescued by the police from Nekkonda village in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh last night.

Police said the senior executive was rescued by a special police team, who arrested four members of the gang.

Mr Satyanarayana would be brought here by noon, police said, adding that they cracked the case by tracking down a ransom call made by the abductors to the family last evening.

Acting on the clues provided by autorikshaw driver, who saw Mr Satyanarayana being taken away in a car after he dropped his children at Geetanjali school in Secunderabad, police rescued him.
