Links of London plot with IISc shootout probed
Bangalore, July 8: City police is investigating into the possible link of the 2005 October shoot out at the Indian Institute of Science with the foiled Glasgow international Airport attack in connection of which two Indian doctors have been arrested.
Police sources said separate teams have been formed to investigate into the possibility of the involvement of Ahmed Brothers Dr Sabeel and Kafeel in the IISc attack also.
A team of police officials have also been rushed to Nagenahalli in Belur taluk of Hassan district where the ancestors of Kafeel, who was allegedly battling for life in a London hospital after suffering 90 per cent burn injuries in his attempt to storm Glasgow International Airport.
The city police have already interrogated the family members of Kafeel and Sabeel twice during the last two days. However no concrete evidences were secured from the family members, the police officers maintain.
Bangalore City Police Commissioner N Achuth Rao, while denying that the state police have been alerted over the incident of storming of International Airport in Glasgow told newsmen here today that the Central intelligence agencies including RAW and IB have sought certain information into the terrorist incidents in UK.
