Kochi, June 21 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parshad (VHP) today urged the Central and Kerala Governments to take steps to 'throw out' foreign Christian missionaries from the country.

Addressing mediapersons here, VHP Organising Secretary Kummanam Rajashekaran said around 150 foreign missionaries on tourist and business visas were illegally working in the country.

''Only those who have visas for religious work in the country can spread religious messages,'' he noted.

He alleged the missionaries were also involved in converting people to Christianity and urged the governments concerned to initiate stringent measures against them.

''Five American missionaries for the last three years were indulding in large scale conversions for different churches and conventions in Kerala,'' he further alleged.
