Noted Gujjar leader Haji Buland Khan passes away
Jammu, June 7: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjar and Bakerwal, Haji Buland Khan died late yesterday in the capital city of Srinagar due to prolonged illness, sources today said.
Khan was 74.
The most popular leader of nomadic community of Gujjars and Bakerwals, Haji Buland Khan was born at the far off Thuru village of Gool in Reasi district.
The body of the leader was being flown to his native place for last rites, sources added.
The state government has announced a three-day mourning as a mark of respect to the departed Gujjar leader.
