Hearing of suspended BSP MP's bail plea on June 14

Gorakhpur, June 7 (UNI) A court will hear on June 14 the bai application filed by suspended Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) MP Umakant Yadav, arrested for 'issuing life threats' in order to encroach a portion of land in Azamgarh.

On June 4, Mr Yadav had filed a bail application before Special Judge (Gangster Act), Gorakhpur R P Singh.

The court has fixed June 14 for hearing the case.

On May 28, Mr Yadav, BSP MP from Machhlishahr seat of Jaunpur, his son Dinesh and five others had bulldozed the house of Feroz Ahmed and Bhullan Devi in Pallia Udai Village of Phoolpur area and made the encroachment. Later, the accused threatened the villagers by firing in the air.

On May 30, Mr Yadav was arrested, while he was on way to Meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in Lucknow.
