Sonia calls upon UPA allies to strengthen cooperation
New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Observing that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) has been working on the right direction ever since its inception, alliance chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi today called upon the allies to make sincere efforts to maintain and strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation displayed by them so far inspite of their divergent viewpoints.
"The UPA has been able to knit together the differing views and opinions of its allies displaying proper coordination and cohesion and set a tradition of sorts of mutual cooperation,"she said, addressing the function at the Prime Minister's House to mark the completion of three years of the Congress-led alliance government at the Centre.The function was attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and all the UPA allies.
Speaking in Hindi, Ms Gandhi said the UPA Government had crossed yet another milestone today having completed its three years in power. Whatever commitments the Prime Minster had made to the nation was there in the form of the report card being presented by him to the people today, she noted.
"Let us reiterate our commitment to the National Common Minimum Programme which has bound us UPA allies together," Ms Gandhi said.

created
hopes
for
social
justice
in
the
lakhs
of
poor
in
the
country
who
were
eager
to
get
the
same
at
the
earliest
possible.
She
congratulated
the
Prime
Minster
for
working

dedication.''
