Sangma slams Congress
Daltonganj, May 22 (UNI) Former Lok Sabha speaker and national general secratary of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) P A Sangma has said the Congress had become ''outdated and people were now looking for another option in various states''.
Talking to newspersons yesterday, Mr Sangma said the Congress has now become directionless and was being rejected by people throughout the country.
Claiming NCP to be a better option Mr Sangma said the party had about 100 MLAs and the mass base was increasing day-by-day.
Mr Sangma said former MLA Inder Singh Namdhari represented the seat for about 25 years but ''failed'' to develop the area.
He added that the Centre should take effective measures to check the price hike of essential commodities.
