NTPC, CSEB sign agreement for power supply

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) State-run power major NTPC Ltd today signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) here.

The agreement is for the supply of power from NTPC Barh Super Thermal Power Station, Stage II comprising two units of 660 MW each.

States of northern, western and eastern region will be the beneficiaries of the project.

The PPA was signed by NTPC Executive Director (Commercial) I J Kapoor and CSEB Secretary V K Jain on behalf of their respective organisations.

NTPC Director (Commercial) R S Sharma and CSEB Chairman Rajib Ranjan were also present at the ocassion.
