Banglaore, May 22 (UNI) Marck Biosciences, the Gujarat-based manufacturer of parenterals, today made its foray into the South Indian market by introducing its comprehensive range of blowfill seal pharma products.

Briefing newspersons here, Company Managing Director Bhavesh Patel said that the range of products included common solutions, electrolyte replacements, antibiotic solutions, diuretics, anti fungal drug therapeutics, eye and ear solutions, injectibles and inhaling solutions.

From here the company would roll out its products across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala by the end of this year, he added.

"South India accounts for almost 28 per cent of India's Rs 1600 crore parenterals market. We already have strong presence in North and West India. The aim of the South India launch was spearheading our plan to cross the target turnover of Rs 100 crore during 2007-08 of which Rs 25 crore would come from South India," he added.

Fall in margin of profit affected export of a broad spectrum of products and parenterals was no exception. This was the reason why Marck, which exported its products to over 40 countries across Africa and CIS countries, had now decided to expand its operation in India and entered the South India.

Marck manufacturers parenterals for a host of global pharmaceutical companies including Torrent, IPCA, Sun Pharma, Cadila, Lupin and Dr Reddy's.
