Former cricketer Maninder Singh, conduit arrested with cocaine

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Former test cricketer Maninder Singh was caught along with the drug conduit in possession of cocaine from Preet Vihar area of Delhi this evening, police said.

While 1.5 gm cocaine was recovered from Singh, the conduit Sayan Siddiqui had 10 gms of the banned drug on him, a senior police official said, adding that a watch was kept on the activities of both for the past few days.

Both were caught from the Defence Enclave area of Preet Vihar when Siddiqui was delivering the drug to the former spinner.

Possession of more than three gm cocaine comes under the Commercial Transaction Act while those found possessing less than three gm are booked under Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act.
