Chittagong, May 22 (UNI) Team India skipper Rahul Dravid today blamed the crammed schedule for the mistiming of the Bangladesh Test series marred by rains.
''Ideally, the timing of the series could have been better. But, schedules are crammed, over crammed if you ask me. So, I don't know how we are going to fit everything in,'' Dravid said, after rains played spoilsport in the first Test against Bangladesh with more than 15 hours of the game lost.
Asked what is the solution to this problem, he said, ''The solution is that we have to get the scheduling right and try to get certain number of Tests and ODIs and try not to exceed that number and plan your tours well.'' ''At the end of the day, quality is important and as an international player you want to give quality cricket to people,'' he added.
Incidentally, Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore also said, ''When would you hold the Test series if not now. Where is the time.'' The last of the three-match ODI series was abandoned due to rains.
