13 arrested for Church property fraud in Ajmer

Ajmer, May 22: As many as 13 people, including three BJP activists, were arrested for alleged fake purchase of the United Church of Northen India's Bishop House property here on forged lease deed and other documents.

According to the police sources, BJP Dehat unit former president Shivraj Chaudhary, Srinagar Panchayat Samiti Deputy Pradhan Gopal Chaudhary, BJP Nasirabad block unit former president Vishnu Prasad Chokdiwal and others were nabbed by the police last night from the Bishop House premises after a preliminary scrutiny of documents.

Earlier, a delegation of Christian community led by Bishop Colin Theodore, met Superintendent of Police S Sengagir and lodged a complaint in the alleged fake sell of the Bishop House.

A police team was also sent to Indore for the arrest of Canadian Presbitarian Mission's Moderator Soloman Smith who had allegedly sold the property to the accused on fake lease deed.
