Mysore, May 6: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that the contentious internal reservation issue would be discussed by the state cabinet shortly. Speaking to media persons at Melapura village near here, he said that there was no difference among the coalition partners Janata Dal (S) and the Bharatiya Janata Party on the internal reservation issue and it would be taken up in the coming cabinet meeting and implemented.

"Officials have already prepared the report on this aspect and it would be placed before the cabinet. Our Party President H D Deve Gowda has also raised this issue often and urged the government to implement internal reservation," he said.

Referring to the opposition parties submitting a memorandum to the Governor T N Chaturvedi on delay in holding the urban local body elections, Mr Kumaraswamy said that the government had already submitted its reply to the High Court and honoured the judgment, he said.

On the heightened doubts over the continuation of the coalition government in the state he said, "These controversies have been created by the media and unfortunately, every time I am made to clarify and there was no chinks in the coalition government, he said.
