Chandigarh, Apr 18 (UNI) Haryana has become one of the front runner states in the country to initiate the roll out of e-governance centres by signing a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with three private operators for running e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendras.

The MSA was signed by Mr P K Chaudhery, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Information Technology with the representatives of Infotech, SARK Systems India Limited&JAK Software Consortium and Comat Technologies Private Limited and Hughes Communications Consortium.

The e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendras are authorised to deliver Government to Citizen (G2C) in addition to other Business to Citizen (B2C) services delivery points in the State.

After signing the MSA, Mr Chaudhery said this initiative would usher in a new era in the history of the State's G2C service delivery mechanism.

He said under the scheme, Haryana proposed to have one SCA in each of its divisions which were Ambala, Rohtak, Gurgaon and Hisar.

In all there would be 1,159 rural kiosks and 104 urban kiosks. He added that the scheme was being rolled out under Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model, whereby the Government services such as caste, income and other certificates issuance, copy of land records and payment of utilities bills such as electricity and telephone would be made available through these kiosks.
