Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today postponed the public auction of 487 acres of land which was allotted and cancelled to a cement company in which Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was one of the Directors.

According to official sources here, the government would auction the lands allotted to Raghuram company in Kadapa district on April 26 as it had received only one application from Jagan Mohan Reddy's company to participate in the auction.

The government has cancelled the allotted pieces of land to the company on the Chief Minister's son request as the opposition parties were 'politicising' the issue in the state.

Meanwhile, Congress MP U Arun Kumar challenged the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to participate in the auction to substantiate their allegations that the land was given to Dr Reddy's son at throwaway prices. It is the opposition's responsibility to participate in the auction and to prove their allegation.
