IBM Daksh recognised as India's number one BPO
Bangalore, Apr 12: IBM Daksh, the process transformation and management arm of IBM, has been ranked the number one BPO firm in the 'India's Most Respected Companies' survey, conducted by Businessworld Magazine.
The rankings, published in the April nine issue of the leading weekly, were an outcome of an Indian Market Research Bureau poll among 682 senior managers across industry who rated companies on seven parameters, innovativeness, quality and depth of top management, financial performance and return to shareholders, ethics and transparency, quality of products and services, people practice/talent management and global competitiveness, according to a release here today.
IBM Daksh Chief Executive Officer Pavan Vaish said ''we are delighted to have won the Businessworld 'India's Most Respected Companies' survey. Testimony to our market leadership, this ranking also affirms our belief that the next level of delivering value-added-services to our global customers will come from using a global delivery model using innovative tools and technologies.
Moreover, what helps IBM Daksh stand apart is its ability to integrate the complete spectrum of IBM competencies across research, development and consulting, distilled into high-value solutions and replicable tools.'' IBM Daksh had over 20,000 employees across 17 delivery centres spread over India and the Philippines, more than tripling its size since June 2004 when IBM acquired Daksh.
