IBM opens Autonomic Computing Technology Centre in Bangalore
Bangalore, Apr 3 (UNI) IBM today announced the opening of a new Autonomic Computing Technology Centre in the city to address demands from India-based business partners and customers for technology and systems that are self-managing.
The Centre, an extension of the India Software Laboratory, was dedicated to advancing IBM's global Autonomic Computing initiative, which had worked for the past five years to reduce complexity by automating processes and building intelligence into IT systems.
The centre would work closely with IBM's worldwide Software Development Laboratories, particularly those in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA, and Toronto, Canada, to provide worldwide autonomic solutions. The Centre would function closely with the IBM India Research Laboratory, with sites in New Delhi and Bangalore, which conduct advanced autonomic research, a company release here said.
