Adea acquires SAP services company

Bangalore, Mar 27: Business and Information Technology (IT) solutions provider Adea today announced that it had acquired CVR Consulting, a Dallas-based company providing SAP services and a dominant player in the public sector space.

Disclosing this to the media here, Adea Chairman Abid Abedi said the acquisition would enable the company to grow its presence in the public sector space by diversifying its client base and SAP coverage in functional and technical areas.

He said Adea had started a new Delivery Centre in Dallas to service its clients in the US. It would support Mobility Practice in the company's efforts to build additional features for its Government clients.

Stating that Adea would foray in a big way into China, Mr Abedi said the company was launching its operations during the next quarter. ''Our goal is to set up a delivery centre and work on establishing and building business partnerships.'' Adea CEO Shouvik Bhattacharyya said ''our entry into China is part of our global expansion plan. China has excellent technical schools and our clients will now truly gain access to a global talent pool.''
