TechSpan India Ltd changes name to Headstrong

Bangalore, Feb 2: TechSpan India Limited, a subsidiary of Headstrong Services LLC, announced that it has legally changed its name to Headstrong Services India Private Limited with immediate effect. The name change is an effort to leverage the global Headstrong brand to strengthen Headstrong's leadership position in delivering high-end business and technology solutions for global securities and capital markets industry.

Headstrong will maintain it's Center of Excellence in Delhi and Bangalore focused exclusively on supporting its global Fortune customer and developing prototypes, reusable components and solutions for the capital markets industry.

As part of the name change announcement, Headstrong outlined its plans for revamping India operations with a revenue target of 0 million in 2007. The company plans to grow at 40% and will increase its India based headcount from existing 1500 to 2500 by end of 2007. Headstrong invested over million in its Bangalore and Noida Centers of Excellence in 2006 and will continue to make similar investments over the coming years to manage the anticipated business growth.

Sharing details of the name change announcement, Mr. Arjun Malhotra, Chairman&CEO, Headstrong, said, "The name change is a key milestone in our evolution and will enable us to build the Headstrong brand in India. The name change re-emphasizes our commitment to our brand values of excellence, innovation and customer centricity. We believe that the name change will enable us to take the Headstrong brand on a global landscape."

Headstrong also announced the opening of a new facility in Noida, Sector 59. Truly state-of-the-art, spread over 150,000 square feet built up over 4 floors, the new office goes a step ahead of its earlier office in design and innovation to create a fresh and humane working space.

TechSpan merged with Headstrong in the year October 2003. Post the merger, the India entity continued to be called TechSpan while globally the company was called Headstrong.
