Yoga increases immunity power in AIDS patients--Ramdev

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1 (UNI) Yoga Guru Ramdev today claimed that he has evidence to prove that the yoga can increase the immunity power of an AIDS patient.

The Yoga guru who arrived here to conduct the week long Yoga Science Camp, beginning here from January 3 next, told mediapersons that he has got sufficient evidence to show that the yoga has increased the CD-4 count in blood of AIDS patient.

'' AIDS patients having CD-4 count as low as 19, had reported with rising count to the extent of 350 to 400 as against the normal count of 500, ''the Yoga Guru claimed and urged the government to come forward in assisting the success of the AIDS treatment instead of contesting his claim.

He said he had never claimed that the Yoga could cure the AIDS but reiterate his claim that yoga with ayurvedic treatment could cure blood cancer, breast cancer, prostrate cancer and other chronic and genetic diseases.

The Yoga guru prescribed the cancer patients to take wheat grass juice, neem leave juice and ''tulsi'' juice along with certain other ayurvedic medicines while performing the seven ''Pranayam''. He claimed that he had several case studies to prove that the dreaded disease like cancer has been cured through the yoga and ayurvedic treatment.
