Rs 34.59 crore allocated for rural roads in Haryana

Chandigarh, Jan 1 (UNI) The Haryana Agricultural Marketing Board has allocated Rs 34.59 crore for the construction and repair of rural roads in the state.

Haryana Agricultural Marketing Board chairman Shadi Lal Batra said the Board was committed to providing maximum facilities to the farmers of the state.

He said with a view to providing facilities to the farmers, the construction of new Grain Markets and Vegetable Markets was in progress.

The Board, he said, had already provided financial assistance to the farmers who had met with accident while being engaged in an agricultural process and under the scheme 14,694 people had so for been provided financial assistance of Rs 25.65 crore.
