Pune, Jan 1 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Punjab, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Rajasthan and Lakshadweep.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Jharkhand and Bihar and were below normal in Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, south west Rajasthan and Gujarat state and were above normal in Tripura, Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Chattisgarh and Vidarbha. They were normal over the rest of the country.
