HC admits writ petition on medical college issue
Kochi, Jan 1 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today admitted a writ petition filed by M V Raghavan, chairman of the disbanded administrative body of the Pariyaram Cooperative Medical College Hospital.
Though the court issued notice to the state government, Mr Justice J James did not issue notice to Minister for Cooperation G Sudhakaran, one of the respondents in the writ.
The petition challenged the order of superseding the directors and taking over the charge by an administrator due to lack of quorum at a meeting of the body.
According to the petitioner, the action of the government was highly illegal.
The court also ordered status quo in the matter and posted the case to January 9.
