Centre extends ceasefire with DHD

New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) The Centre has extended for another year the suspension of security operations in Asom against the militant outfit Dima Halam Daogah, it was officially announced here today.

The suspension of security operations against DHD has beeen in effect since January 1, 2003 -- and exttended periodically. With the suspension announced today, the ceasefire between the security forces and the militant outfit enters its fifth year, an official spokesperson here said.
