B'lore airport may be operational by April 2008
New Delhi, Dec 12: Construction work for the Bangalore International Airport at Devanahalli was progressing satisfactorily and it is likely to begin operations by April 2008, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel informed the Rajya Sabha today.
Answering a question from Mrs Prema Cariappa (Cong), Mr Patel in a written reply said all the works on the greenfield airport and the construction were proceeding as per schedule.
The target completion period of the airport was 33 months from the date of financial closure June 23, 2005.
