MDU inks MoU with UK varsity

Rohtak, Nov 28 (UNI) Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) will develop a strategic alliance in higher education, research and training with University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) of United Kingdom.

MDU Vice Chancellor, R S Dhankar inked an agreement on this cooperative venture with UCLAN during his recently concluded visit to UK. UCLAN Pro vice-chancellor Angela Murphy, signed the agreement on behalf of UCLAN.

Prof Dhankar said during his UK tour he visited the UCLAN campus at Preston, Lancashire and personally saw the infrastructural facilities there. He interacted with the faculty members of the varsity and described UCLAN as an outstanding institution of higher education and research.

Expressing happiness over the agreement, Prof Dhankar said faculty members, research scholars and students of MDU would be benefited from this strategic educational alliance. This collaborative arrangement in teaching, learning, research and knowledge transfer is a historic agreement and will open up avenues of growth for MDU, he added.

During his UK tour, Prof Dhankar also visited University of Cardiff, Wales, University of Westminister, Oxford and Cambridge Universities to explore possibilities of education and research collaboration, an MDU spokesman informed.
