Mysore, Nov 23 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today called for a debate on a single platform about the developmental works taken up by former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in his Chamundeswari Assembly constituency, compared to the Holenarasipura seat represented by former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he referred to the derogatory statements made by Mr Siddaramaiah about the development works in Holenarasipura and called for an open debate.

Despite Mr Siddaramaiah being given a free hand by the JD(S) to take up works in Mysore and Chamarajanagara districts, he had created an emergency like situation by not allowing any other party leader to enter the constituency without his permission, Mr Kumaraswamy alleged.

Ridiculing the claims of former Minister and Congress leader H Vishwanath that the war had ended before it started, he said ''it is nothing but escapism, they are frustrated. When the war has just started, how can they claim that they have already won.'' Meanwhile, in a separate press conference, JD(S) Spokesperson Y S V Datta termed former Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily's claim false that Mr Gowda was taking undue credit for providing reservation to Muslim women and produced the Government Order in this regard. Mr Moily had issued an order in this connection only for admission to professional courses in 1994-95 and not for employment, he said.
