Talakadu to be devlp into a tourism place: Kumaraswamy
Talakad (Karnataka), Nov 20: Talakad, the sandy town, will be developed into an important tourism destination in the State, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.
"A comprehensive plan would be prepared to develop infrastructure needed to attract more number of tourists", he added.
Speaking to reporters after performing pooja here, he said that Talakad has already been attracting pilgrims with century old temples and it is now necessary to develop it as an important tourist spot. He assured necessary funds in the next budget for the purpose.
Earlier, Mr Kumaraswamy inaugurated the 'Yatri Niwas' of the Karnataka Tourism Department in order to facilitate the devotees and visitors to the temple town.
