SC issues notice to state of Bihar on Sadhu Yadav's petition

New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court today issued notice to the state of Bihar on a petition filed by RJD MP Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav, seeking anticipatory bail in a case of alleged forgery of the papers of a vehicle purchased by him from outside Bihar .

A bench comprising Justices S B Sinha and Markandey Katju issued the notice returnable within two weeks.

Sadhu Yadav brother-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has come in appeal against Patna high court order rejecting his bail application.

Senior counsel L Nageshwar Rao appearing for the petitioner contended that earlier the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail by the high court and fresh case has been registered against his client just to harass him and for taking political advantage at the instance of the ruling party of the state. He said the case is politically motivated.
