Four smugglers arrested with 10 Kg Charas

Jammu, Nov 18 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle 10 kilograms of charas and arrested four persons of the gang near Banihal in Doda district.

Official sources said here today a police team intercepted a Maruti car at Kharpura on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway yesterday.

Police recovered 10 kilograms of charas from the car which was being smuggled to Jammu from Bijbehara in Anantnag district. The narcotics was immediately seized and all the four smugglers arrested on the spot.

The arrested smugglers have been identified as Riyaz Ahmed Rather, Riyaz Ahmed Nazar, Mukhtiar Ahmed and Javed Ahmed Malik, son of Shamus Din of Dooligam.
