AP: Telugu actor Srihari joins Congress
Hyderabad, Nov 12: Telugu actor Srihari joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office here today.
Accompanied by the State Cultural Council Chairman Dharmavarapu Subramaniam, Srihari met the Chief Minister and joined the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Srihari said Dr Reddy was his 'Guru' in politics.
''I will serve the party with gusto as I was closely associated with the Congress for the last 20 years,'' the villian, who graduated to Hero said.
Dr Reddy said the party would utilise the services of the filmstar during the December four bypoll for Karimnagar and Bobbili Lok Sabha seats.
