Sonia Gandhi wraps up 3-day visit to Belgium; heads for home

Brussels, Nov 12 (UNI) UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi today left for India after concluding her three-day visit to Belgium.

Ms Gandhi will reach New Delhi via Frankfurt. She was initially scheduled to leave Brussels this afternoon, but instead, changed her programme and flew back in the morning.

During her stay in Brussels, Ms Gandhi was conferred upon 'Order of Leopold', Belgium's second highest civilian award, and an Honorary Doctorate for her ''constructive nationalism'' and efforts to foster a multicultural, tolerant society in India.

On the first day of her visit, Ms Gandhi placed a wreath at the Indian Memorial raised on November 10, 2002 at Menin Gate.
