Nagpur, Nov 12 (UNI) The police today foiled an attempt by activists to stage a 'peace march' from Nagpur to Khairlanji in Bhandara district of Vidarbha region, to protest the recent killing of four members of a dalit family in the village.

The police took into custody 65 activists at the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in RBI Square here this morning after they raised slogans.

The activists attempted to stage the 'peace march' after the police denied them permission for a 'long march' from Nagpur to Khairlanji.
