Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) The Paramount Airways today took 30 under-privileged children on board on a dream flight to provide them with a different experience in their lives.
According to a company release, the flight took off at 1645 hrs and circled for 45 minutes in and around Chennai.
State Social Welfare Minister Poongothai accompanied the children and interacted with them on board till its departure.
The dream flight marked the commemoration of the one-year completion of the airways. It also coincides with the Children's Day celebrations on Tuesday, it said.
Indu, hailing from a middle class family and studying in a Corporation Higher Secondary School at Nungambakkam in the city told visiting journalists, ''I had been dreaming of this day ever since I was told that I will be taken on a flight.'' Similar expressions were heard from most of the students and all of them had profusely thanked Mr M Thiayagarajan, Managing Director of the Airways for arranging such a wonderful flying opportunity to them.
