Hard-core Hizbul militant surrenders in Doda
Jammu, Nov 12 (UNI) A hardcore Hizbul Mujahideen militant, who has been active in Doda and surrounding areas since long, today surrendered before security forces at Thathari in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said Muzaffar Hussain alias Kamran, who had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) years ago, laid down arms and expressed his willingness to join the social mainstream.
Hussain, who has been accused of several killings and conducting blasts, handed over one AK rifle, one magazine, 26 AK rounds of ammunition to troops of the 26 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of the Indian Army.
