Gandhinagar, Nov 12 (UNI) President APJ Abdul Kalam was more than just pleasantly surprised when he received a rare gift three priceless vintage silver coins reportedly dating back to 1313 AD, from a local builder Mr Bhaskar Dave here today.

To a query by the President as to which period did these coins belong, Mr Dave informed him that the coins belonged to the 'Moghul Sultante' era.

Mr Bhaskar Dave is a self-professed avid collector and preserver of ancient coins and books, some of which are even 250 years old, he claims.

''This practice of preserving our ancient heritage is coming from my forefathers' time,'' Mr Dave said.
