BSP expels two MLAs, suspend Azamgarh MP in UP

Lucknow, Nov 12 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) tonight expelled two legislators and suspended Lok Sabha member from Azamgarh Ramkant Yadav for indulging in anti-party activities.

The two MLAs, who have been expelled from the party, are -- Narendra Kumar representing Jewar assembly seat in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Kapil Dev Yadav from Nathupur assembly segement in Mau district. Ramakant was suspended from the party for six years.

Announcing the action against the BSP leaders, party general secretary Nasimuddin Siddique told mediapersons here that these leaders were found indulging in anti-party activities.

The decision was taken by party supremo Mayawati, Mr Siddique said.

Interestingly, Umkant Yadav, Lok Sabha member of the BSP from Machillisahar in the state and brother of Ramakant Yadav, was present in the press meet when his brother was suspended from the party.

Umakant also admitted that his brother was involved in anti-party activities and the action of Ms Mayawati was justified.
