6 labourers killed, 8 seriously injured in car accident

Mumbai, Nov 12 (UNI) At least six labourers, including three women, a minor boy and a girl, were killed and eight others seriously injured when a car, driven by a youth in an inebriated condition, crushed them during the wee hours today at Bandra, north west Mumbai.

According to the Khar Police, the car overturned at Carter road in posh Bandra west area after running over the labourers sleeping on the footpath at 0400 hrs thereby crushing them to death and seriously injuring others.

The injured, six men, a boy and a girl, were admitted in the Bhabha hospital.

The driver of the car, Alstin Perria (21), and of his two accomplices- Kelvin Perria (18), and Jocob (20), were taken into custody by the police, sources added.
