Wellspring to open over 100 processing labs

Mangalore, Nov 11 (UNI) Wellspring, the Nicholas Piramal India Ltd's chain of pathlabs and diagnostic centres, proposed to open over 100 processing lab centres across the country by 2008 at a cost of about Rs 100 crore.

Addressing reporters after inaugurating a Wellspring pathlab centre here, Nicholas group President and Chief Financial Officer N Santhanam said Wellspring had over 50 processing lab centres across the country. The company would shortly open centres in Agra, Bikaner, Coimbatore, Chennai, Rohtak and Pune.

He said Wellspring, which was hitherto concentrating on 'A' class cities, would now focus on covering 'B' and 'C' class cities.
