War like stores recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 11 (UNI) A militant's hideout was unearthed and war like stores, including mortar bombs, grenades, detonators and explosives, were recovered in the Kashmir valley early today.

A defence ministry spokesman said troops, acting on specific information, conducted search operation at Gagangir forest in Sonamarg, about 80 km from here.

After a long search, they finally busted a hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from an abandoned Dhok.

The recovery included 21 kg explosives wrapped in two polythene sheets, two detonators, 29 rounds of AK rifle, 22 hand grenades, eight 60 mm mortar bomb, four rocket ammunition RPC heat besides one AK magazine and 16 Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL).
