Union Academy Sr Sec School, Delhi enters semis of Nehru Hockey

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Athar Mirza scored a hat-trick as Union Academy Sr Sec School, Delhi routed St Igantius High School, Gumla 10-2 to enter the semi-finals of the 35th Nehru Junior Hockey Tournament here today.

The Delhi School qualified for the knockout stage owing to a higher goal difference after finishing with six points along with Bangladesh Institute of Sports and Sat Guru Partap Singh Academy in group I.

In the other matches played today, Army Boys' Sports Co BRC, Danapur drew 1-1 with Govt Model Sr Sec School, Ladowali (Jalandhar) and Bangladesh Institute of Sports beat Sat Guru Partap Singh Academy, Sri Bhaini Sahib 2-1.

The Army Boys and the Jalandhar School along with Guru Harkishan Public School have two points in Group IV and also have the same goal difference. These three teams will now play in the tie-breaker tomorrow to decide the semi-finalist.
