Ten Naxals surrender in AP

Hyderabad, Nov 11 (UNI) Ten Naxals of various banned outfits today surrendered before the police in Warangal and Khammam Districts.

Two Naxals belonging to CPI (Maoist) party have surrendered before the Khammam District Superintendent of Police Rajeev Kumar Meena.

Manuguru Dalam Committee Secretary Sattenanna and his wife Hasena, a Dalam Committee member herseld also surrendered. Sattenna has carried a reward of Rs five lakh on his head.

In Warangal, Eight Naxals surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, Soumya Mishra.

The surrendered cadres were three Maoists, one 'Praja Prathighatana', one 'Praja Prathighatana-Godavari Valley', two 'Prathighatana' and one Deputy Commander of 'New Democracy'.

Speaking to newspersons here, Dr Soumya said four of the surrendered cadres had confessed that they joined the extremist groups during the 'Peace Talks' initiated by the Government with the Naxals in 2004.
