Indian women beat Singapore 7-0 in AFC U-19 football tourney
New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) India thrashed lowly Singapore 7-0 in a Group 'A' qualification round tie of the AFC U-19 Women's Championship 2007 in Kuala Lumpur here today.
Bala Devi, Lalvarmoi Hmar and Nameirakpam Roma Devi scored two goals each while Anuradha Chetri netted one.
India need a win against Thailand in their last match on November 15 for a top two finish in the five-team group while the whipping girls Singapore were already out of the tournament having lost 0-17 against Thailand earlier.
India had beaten Jordan 4-0 in their opening tie but lost to Myanmar 1-2 in the second match.
Thailand and neighbours Myanmar are undefeated till now.
Top two teams from the five-team group qualify for the AFC Under-19 Championship 2007.
