ICSI to honour Cos for corporate governance

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) With a view to promoting good governance among Indian companies, the Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) will give away the sixth edition of the National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance.

The Jury, headed by Former Chief Justice of India V N Khare, met here today to finalise the winners of the 'Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance 2006' and 'Life Time Achievement Award'.

The awards comprising of a citation and trophy are based on the outcome of a comprehensive process which enables the Jury to judge the practices of Corporate Governance as followed by Indian corporates.

The Jury comprising eminent personalities from government, corporates, academicians and Indian corporate leaders of Fortune 500 companies will present the award on December 23 at a function to be held in Chennai.
