Ganja worth 8 crore seized, 5 held

Visakhapatnam, Oct 29 (UNI) The excise department has arrested five people, seized ganja worth Rs eight crore and confiscated 20 acres of ganja plantation here at Kotavari village, according to Andhra Pradesh Prohibition and Excise Deputy Commissioner K I Bhaskar.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Bhaskar said the arrested were Viju Joseph from Kerala, P Subba Rao, K Adhimurthy, P Sanyasi and K Rajayya of the Kotavari village.

The arrested were remanded to judicial custody, he added.
