Over 200 naxals attack village, demolish 3 schools
Jagdalpur, Oct 28 (UNI) In protest against security forces being boarded in school buildings, more than 200 naxals raided Koa-eit-pal village in Bijapur area of the South Bastar region last night and demolished primary, secondary school and under construction Ashram buildings.
Bijapur Superintendent of Police R L Dangi said villagers lodged an FIR about the incident this morning.
After demolishing the buildings during the three-hour-long attack, the ultras stormed the residances of up-sarpanch Lekam Lakhma, village secretary Alam Arjun and one Munnalal and looted household items, panchayat legders, cash books and other records.
Meanwhile, two Naxals were killed by their own gang members yesterday near Jhagrati village in Bastar district. Police identified one of the deceased as a beggar and believed that he was killed on the suspicion of being police informer.
